in 1964 nasa have sent their first lunar base
this base was called lunalab
lunalab was orignally two cabines one a lab and
the second one being living habitat
the cabines was able to only house 2 astronauts
however in the coming months more cabines would land letting
more people to be at the same time
eventually in 1965 nasa had completed their first big lunar base
it was a moduler base
it had a large corridoor leading the habitats and labs
at both sides
at the end of the corridoor there was
a main control office where all the computers were
the ussr also had their own modular base called svezda
svezda was very similar to lunalab
with the only diffrence is that the base was covered in moon dust
for raditation protection
the bases have kept to themselves
up until 1975 after operation gabriel
after the operation both partys were very open to work
together more on more projects
so not only the soviets and americans have worked together
there was also a railroad conneting the two bases
that was complated in 1976
letting the people share information and do more joint venures
