skylab B

skylab B is a renovated version of skylab
the first us zero g station
and was renovated by the shuttle in 1982


HISTORY
in 1982 right after the apollo program
nasa still had a tone of equipment
more specfically they had 50 saturn Vs
37 apollo spacecrafts and 16 lunar landers
so they proposed a plan the lander would be used
in the construction of second lunar base
while the rest of the apollo spacecrafts
would be used in a newly renovated verion
of skylab called skylab B
skylab B got visits from not only the apollo
but also the soyuz the shuttle and the buran


DESIGN
the core design of skylab wasnt changed
but instead they added a new module
this module was a big module
it was big because it also carried fuel
to refuel spacecrafts
for trips to the moon
skylab B had been able to support 6 people
making it a truly permanetally manned station
and due to the fact the original docking port
wasnt made in mind to refuel spacecrafts
a third docking port was implamented to the new module
